Gentian Jakllari

Gentian Jakllari was born in Skrapar, Albania. After graduating from the Petro Nini Luarasi high school in Tirana, Albania he moved to Greece where he obtained the bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Ioannina in 2002. In 2003 he moved to the USA where he obtained the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside in 2005 and 2007, respectively. In 2017 he obtained the HDR from INP Toulouse, France.

From 2007 to 2011 he was a network scientist at the Internetworking Research Department at BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA, USA. In 2011 he joined INP-ENSEEIHT at the University of Toulouse where he is now an Associate Professor. He holds a joint appointment with the Toulouse Institute for Computer Science Research (IRIT) and is a member of the IRT team. His research interests are in computer networks with emphasis on wireless networking and mobile systems, including cross-layer and cross-technology design for Gigabit wireless, cyber-physical systems, cognitive networks, IoT and energy-efficiency.
